Hominick Vs. Garica Added to WEC 51

Another huge featherweight battle has been slated for WEC 51 in September.  Mark Hominick (18-8) will be taking on the hard-hitting Leonard Garcia  (14-5-1).  This featherweight battle has been added to the main card.  The official announcement has yet to come from the WEC, but MMANewsleak has learned from sources close to the fighters that the Hominick and Garcia have agreed to the fight.  WEC 51 is scheduled for September 8 in Broomfield, Colorado and will air live on Versus.

Garica is fresh off one of the best fights of 2010 where Garcia won a close split decision against “the Korean Zombie”, Chang Sung Jung.

Hominick has had a rocky beginning in the WEC losing his first two fights, but is now coming off huge wins over Byran Caraway in WEC 46 and Yves Jabouin in WEC 49.  Both fighter hope to use  this fight to put them in the WEC featherweight title picture.

The main event for WEC 51 will be Jose Aldo defending his featherweight title against Manny Gambury.
